2026 BREAKOUT TRACKS

2026 CJMHC’s program includes keynotes, panel discussions, fireside chats and breakout sessions, with breakout sessions organized along tracks of inquiry that align with the interest of needs of the mental health reentry field, allowing attendees to intentionally select the content that is most relevant to the work they do. Conference tracks are reviewed and updated each year to ensure CJMHC’s content is relevant and applicable.

Behavioral Health &
Crisis Response

This track focuses on the initial interaction between law enforcement and individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

Reentry, Recovery, and Community

This track addresses the challenges individuals face when transitioning from incarceration back into the community, aiming to reduce recidivism.

Correctional and Forensic Mental Health

This track focuses on mental health care in county jails and managing high-risk populations.

Criminal Justice Professional Wellness & Safety

This track focuses on the mental
health of staff working within the justice system (police, correctional officers, probation officers).

Peer Support and Community Care

This track focuses on utilizing lived experience in recovery and reconnecting individuals with community resources.

Courts and Diversion Initiatives

This track focuses on the development of mental health courts, specialty courts, and alternatives to incarceration.
